Spooktacular Sale!
I have a bunch of photos to share of cards and such coming up. I have been super busy with Craft Fair prep and the end of Marching Band season for the LAST time EVER! My baby boy is a senior and we end our decade of Friday Night Football games and marching practice and competition. I can't say I am not thrilled with the idea, but yet a bit melancholy as well. What better way to celebrate that with SHOPPING?! And Stampin' UP! must have known, so they are having a Spooktacular Sale tomorrow.

August Christmas card
I made this card for Dawnmarie's workshop. It was using the new set Ornament Keepsakes. A simple card with one color - Midnight Muse. A little bling on the ornament I cut out with the Holiday Ornaments Framelets that coordinates with the stamp set. I added the ribbon bow and the card was finished!

July club Cards
Here are the cards we did in our August club.
This card used the Labels Framelets and the stamp set Field Flowers. The color combination is Cherry Cobbler and Pale Plum. We embossed the Cherry Cobbler strip with the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Border Strips.
This card was made using the set I Dig You! I was attracted to it for a long while before I finally broke down and purchased it. It is so fun for a boys birthday! The color combination is Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse; all three are NEW colors.
This last card was made using a stamp set that was on special only for July. I paired two sweet colors together - Daffodil Delight and Pretty in Pink.

party favors
I made these favors for a friend at work for their baby shower. I used the Petite Purse Die and the Scalloped Circle punch to make the dresses.

is your week creeping by???
This little snail may be how you feel this week as it creeps by - but he is sure cute! this card base is Sahara Sand, the scalloped frame was made with Tempting Turquoise CS using the Scalloped Square duo die - layering the squares. The embossing was done with a new folder - the Fancy Fan. I punched out a 2 3/8" scallop circle punch out of Pumpkin Pie. I poked a hole in each of the scallops. The bakers twine is the Lucky Limeade twine.

Flowers anyone?
I couldn't forget the flower buttons! Tempting Turquoise is the base for this card, then Daffodil Delight punched strip with the Scallop Trim border punch on two sides. The Rich Razzleberry frame was cut from the Peek-a-boo Frames die. Using a marker I colored the vase and the stems and then stamped them. I finished the card off with a birthday sentiment from a hostess set, Wacky Wishes.

Cheerful Cherry
Another super fast card. Gumball Green card base, Real Red DSP strip, a small punched strip of Basic Black using the Scallop Border punch. The stamped cherry image was stamped on a Whisper White CS cut out with the Scalloped Rectangle Sizzlet then layered on Basic Black. I used a technique with a sticky note to cover up the part of the cherry I didn't want to show on the card when I inked it up.

It just LOOKS like printed paper
For this card, I really got some mileage on the stamp. Using the flower stamp from Button Buddies, I random stamped over the entire card surface using Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Cajun Craze. The center panel was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder and then I stamped the flower again with Daffodil Delight, layered it on Basic Black CS. The button needed a little extra - so I tied a small bow using White Bakers Twine.

BRRRR... buttons
This may have been the easiest card of the day. Whisper White CS base, emboss a Bashful Blue layer with the retired Snowflakes folder, and a small Whisper White rectangle embossed with one of the frames from the Designer Frames textured impressions folder, stamp the wee snowman from Button Buddies, and pop that button on!

Buttons meet Fall!
The ladies thought they were gonna poke holes until they dropped on this one, but we used the new Essentials Paper-Piecing Pack. Then we used a quick stamped strip from a retired set, Fresh Vintage, then stamped the pumpkin from the Button Buddies set three times, Pumpkin Pie CS, Soft Suede CS and a trio of 1 3/8 scallop circle punches later --- VOILA!

This Little Piggy...
This cute card was a quick one too. Pretty in Pink and Early Espresso were the colors, a Whisper White embossed square using the Perfectly Polka Dot impressions folder, and a strip of ribbon, a brad and the button finish this sweet one off!

Baby button
The first close up is of this cute baby card. I used the Scallop circle die to cut out the card, then I ran the front through my Big Shot again to texture the front using the Perfect Polka Dot impressions folder. The Whisper White CS was cut out using the new Labels Framelets. The colors are So Saffron, Marina Mist, and Razzleberry Ripple. Of course I added the button to add the final touch!

Button Buddies Class
Here are the photos from the Stamp Class I had using just the Button Buddies stamp set. I have wanted to have it for a while, just now got around to it! It gave me hope that all my ideas might get to see the light of day. NAH.... I'll just keep getting them and then I'll never catch up (sound familiar?)
yes, I'm going to play 'dirty' and not give you close ups all today~! Check back tomorrow for a couple of them!

wholy calendar!
So, it is September! How did THAT happen? I am still stuck months behind in almost everything; including blogging! I am so sorry! Life has happened and I have not moved along with it, except to drag my feet each day and land in bed to start all over again trying to hang on!
No excuses- but let me post some creations since you are starved! These three projects were made at my Christmas Camp last month.

March club cards
I am beginning to wonder if I will get caught up! BUT --- I am determined. Here are 2 of the cards we made for the hostess club in March.
This first card was inspired by an announcement from a co-worker that not only was she pregnant - but that she was having TWINS! So, hence the 2 adorable monkeys! The set is the now retired set Fox and Friends. The colors are Pool Party and Basic Black with a splash of Sahara Sand.
This card was a great reminder to re-purpose your punches. We used the stamp set Mixed bunch and punched the flower which after we trimmed it, became a butterfly. The DSP is the new Twitterpated. The sentiment is from Loving Thoughts.

Gifts for hire
So, most of you know that I have another business that trickles out of my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship. I make favors and gifts for any special occasion; weddings, birthdays, showers, and the like. My daughter -in-law and I work on some parts together.
I made about 3 projects for a local PTO for their75 teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week gifts.

AntiBac holders - simple and can be customized for any occasion. These are fun to make. all the stamps are retired, and the colors are Concorde Crush (retired), Tangerine Tango, and Old Olive.
These are water bottle hangers. You can put whatever drink pouch you want. The pouch is simple as well. I will post a tutorial for those later next week.

Baby cards
I took a day or so and stamped up some baby cards in April. Here are the ones I did.
These two were done with the same set and the same idea - just turned the card! Interesting how different yet the same they look! The stamp set is Baby Prints. It was introduced in the Mini Catalog, and made it to the Idea Book and Catalog. I am a real sucker for a simple card and especially a clean looking card - Whisper White is a great base for simplicity and then to add just ONE color is strikingly simple. The additional colors I used were: for the boy card - Marina Mist and the girl card was Blushing Bride.
I noticed with these cards that I really love my Big Shot and Impressions Folders! This last card is no exception. I used the Striped folder in a couple of different ways. First I just ran the base Whisper White layer through one time. For the smaller square of plaid, I used a couple of techniques. I brayered the folder first with Marina Mist (a great baby and a great boy blue), then ran the Whisper White through one way, I re inked the folder again and rotated the CS 90 degrees and ran the folder through again - VOILA! Plaid embossed CS. I also used the Designer Frames and the Ovals die to create the focus point of the card.

Spring project- wedding and bridal cards
Dawnmarie and I were planning Michelle's bridal shower and of course we needed INVITATIONS! so I took an afternoon and created some bridal/wedding cards. Unfortunately, all the stamps are retired now... but I love the Bridal Bliss set! The other unique part of these cards - the first two are actually HYBRID cards - meaning, parts are from MDS and printed to be used as part of the card. The sentiment was done on my computer and printed to be put on the card.
