Sale A Bration started TODAY!

This is the card I swapped with the SUDSOL group for the Sale a Bration sets.  I loved this little set called See Ya Later.  I wanted to play up on the sentiment of the gray skies and used Basic Gray as one of the focal colors.

Ask me how you can get this awesome stamp set FREE!  with a $50 purchase.  From now until March 31 when you spend $50 you get to choose an item for free from the special catalog.  I will show you more FREE items later.

STAMPS:  See Ya Later
COLORS: Basic Gray, Raspberry Ripple
ACCESSORIES:  Retired impressions folder, Stitched Satin ribbon, 1 3/4" circle punch, Deco Labels framelits

I needed a quick card to give to a friend who was leaving.  So, I pulled out the Washi Tape that is SUPER fast and FUN to use.  I thought of a good masculine color pallet and knew Real Red and Basic Black would be perfect for this 18 year old.

Grunge up the card a bit, slap some Washi Tape on it, and stamp a sweet sentiment ....

Quick card with a pop of Pool Party!  You might be asking how I punched out the sentiment.  Well, I used my Chalk Talk Framelits and only cut one side, then cropped it up with the other side and the framelit.  Bam!  Custom Made cutting.

STAMPS: Glorious Grunge, Yippee Skippee
COLORS: Real Red, Pool Party, Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  Chalk Talk Framelits, retired SEason of Style Washi Tape, Epic This and That Washi Tape, and Retro Fresh This and That Washi Tape

Do you Washi?

I have only recently been turned on to Washi tape.  All I can say is, "what was I waiting for????"

Stampin Up! has some wonderful coordinated sets of it for purchase.  It makes for such fun, quick cards.  This card is one we made at December's stamp club and I took the idea right from another demonstrator but changed the sentiment.  I have another version to show you tomorrow!

STAMPS:  Glorious Grunge, Label Love
COLOR: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
ACCESSORIES:  retired Season of Style Washi Tape, Artisan Label punch, Bracket Label punch

Another Chalk Talk card

I really love this set for all occasions.  It is so well rounded and can be dressed up or down.  I saw this card idea from demonstrator Debbie Henderson.  I nearly copied it exactly  how she did the card.  I loved the color pallet, and tried to do another one, but did not like the results.  I will be trying to replicate with other colors or patterns for a less elegant look.  I wanted a card for my club that could be used for a birthday, anniversary, baby birth, or wedding.  This one fit the bill!  I really think you all need that Chalk Talk bundle I shared on Sunday!  SO GO RUN to my store and get one for yourself HERE TODAY!

Stampin' Up! Gift Bow Die Gift Card Holder video

Here is Julie Davidson's video tutorial how to make the card I shared yesterday.  I hope you get inspired!

Monday, January 6, 2014

Gift card holder or slider card.  I copied this card from Julie Davidson a wonderful demonstrator.  She has a great tutorial video on YouTube.  I will share that tomorrow!  You can use this for a fun birthday card or any other event you need a gift for.

The stamp set I used is called Chalk Talk and it has matching framelits that cut out the designs with precision.  If you want simple cards that look stunning - you need to get them!

New products - Favorite Things

Everyone seems to be on the "favorite things" bandwagon, so I thought I would jump right on!  I am going to share a few of my favorite new products from the new Occasions Catalog.  I don't have many of them yet, but as I get them I will share a project done with them.  Enjoy the ride through the highlights.  If you want a copy of this catalog, leave me a message in the comments section.  You can also see all the products by clicking the link on the right side bar or HERE for the Occasions Catalog pdf.

On with the SHOW!

1 - BUNDLES - there are 4 framelits/stamp set bundles.  My favorite SO FAR is the Perfectly Pennants

2 - MORE BUNDLES! - hey, anytime you can get a deal on something, I am ON BOARD.  Buy purchasing a stamp set WITH a punch or framelit set, Stampin' Up! discounts the price.  My favorite punch bundle would have to be the Petite Petals. It matches very well with the Flower Shop set (which is another fav of mine!)

3 - PUNCHES - so, Stampin' Up!  out-did itself again with a new style of punch.. I guess not a new STYLE per se, but a new type - TAG TOPPERS.  There are 2 of them and I can't decide which is my favorite - so you get BOTH!

                                              Angled Tag Topper Punch

4- IMPRESSIONS FOLDERS - There are 3 new patterns!  Scallops, Arrows, and an AMPERSAND!  I love it - and so will you!

Ampersand Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

5 - CARRY OVER ITEMS - There are so many items carried over from the Holiday Catalog.  Here is the carry over list.  Some items I am happy to see in this catalog are the punches:

Chevron Border Punch     Bracket Label Punch

and the Silver 1/8" ribbon.

A day late -- but better than never!

As promised, here is the finished project for the birthday cards.  They are super simple to make using the Positively Chevron background stamp.
The addition of one simple strip of cardstock or even ribbon makes the card finished.  With the help of the easily punched out sentiment from Best of Birthdays, the card is completed in just a matter of minutes!

LOVE the Chevron background!

One of my favorite things about Stampin' Up!  would be how simple it is to make a great card to say "hi", Happy Birthday, or whatever else I want to say.  I used the Positively Chevron background stamp for these cards. These were the two beginnings of the card.  I'll post the finished projects tomorrow!

Quick little gift

This little gift is fun for a quick one for a friend or co-worker, or for a party favor!  I got the idea of the internet.  It uses the stamp set Label Love and the matching punch.  This holds a Tootsie Pop.

Catching up -

It's been way too long since I posted any of my work.  So, I'll try to catch up a bit and show what I have been doing. Mostly going to school online, working 40 hours a week, and teaching an early morning Seminary class to youth 14-18.  It keeps me super busy (more than I would like most weeks)  and not much time for crafting.  I have kept my head above water, but barely.  I will try in the next few days to find and photograph cards we have done in clubs this year.  Enjoy the ride!

all of these were prototypes for my Pampered Chef consultant, Chach.  She wanted some options for cards for her clients.  She loved them all, decided to wait to get them as thank you and birthday cards.  Which is YOUR favorite?  I will have a prize for one random winner.  Pass this along to friends and have them post a comment below for a chance to win!  Please include your email so I can let you know if you win!  I will use the random generator on Dec 31 to draw a prize for the new year 2014!

Good luck!

Out with the old, to make room for the NEW!~

A new Idea Book and Catalog is coming June 3, so Stampin' Up!  has to make room for the new stuff.  That means retiring lists are out.  Check out what items are not going to be available after June 3.  This first list is the STAMPS - they will be available until that date.  The second list is for retiring accessories which are only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST:
